
WESTERN- Minor injuries resulted from a car that went off the roadway and into a ditch this week in Oneida County, local officials say.
It happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. Thursday on Buck Hill Road, town of Western, according to Western Fire Department.
Initial reports from 9-1-1 dispatch suggested that the driver was trapped. Upon arrival, emergency responders confirmed that the occupant was unable to exit the vehicle, which had gone off the road and into a ditch.
Fortunately, fire fighters managed to free the occupant and minor injuries were reported, Western Fire Department said.
The scene was turned over to the New York State Police for investigation.
