Missing child located safe near Otter Lake area, officials say

FORESTPORT- A missing child was found safe and unharmed Monday morning in Northern Oneida County.

It was about a half-hour before noontime when Otter Lake Fire Department received alerts from 9-1-1 dispatchers over the search of a missing child.

Emergency responders organized a search team near Lake View Road and Kowalik’s Hotel, town of Forestport.

Several agencies worked together and the child was soon located, unharmed.

Old Forge Fire, Old Forge Ambulance, Woodgate Fire, New York State DEC, New York State Police and Town of Webb Police all assisted.
