
LYONSDALE- A pair of suspects from the Mohawk Valley area are charged in a Lewis County fraud investigation that began two-years ago.
On Tuesday morning, the New York State Police (Lowville) announced the arrests of Timothy J. Carman, 43, and Jennifer M. Chapman, 42, both of Utica, NY.
Carman is charged with one felony count each of identity theft in the second-degree (assume another’s identity while causing financial loss > $500) and grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property values > $1,000).
Meanwhile, Chapman is charged with one misdemeanor count each of petit larceny and possessing a forged instrument in the third-degree.
Troopers said these charges all stem from a town of Lyonsdale fraud investigation that began in February, 2024.
At press time, authorities said that an investigation was still pending.
