No injuries reported in town of Ohio structure fire

HERKIMER COUNTY- There were no injuries reported in Tuesday evening’s structure fire in the town of Ohio.

Newport Fire Department was the primary responder to 291 Millwood Hill Road sometime around 6:00 p.m.

Mutual aid was provided thanks to Barneveld, Deerfield, Holland Patent, Middleville, Morehouse and Remsen Fire Departments.

Kuyahoora Ambulance and local law enforcement responded as well.

According to a release from Newport Fire Department, it took emergency responders about an hour and a half to get the flames under control.

Certain units remained on scene until almost midnight to extinguish hot spots.

No further details were available at press time.
