Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, December 27, 2024
Snowmobiling 2024 – 2025 is underway across upstate New York and the North Country.
So far, it seems to have been a slower start to the riding season.
Since the initial snow-blitz during Thanksgiving weekend, there have been a few other storm systems that resulted in snow accumulation in parts of the North Country, but the weather conditions overall have been all over the place – ranging from seasonably cold to unseasonably warm.
Speaking of which, the latest National Weather Service forecasts suggest a very likely warm trend and periods of rain for the last weekend of the year and right into early January.
Some grooming fleets have been out doing the best with what they have to work with, while others have struggled with opening their systems.
Here are the latest reports from around the North Country:
NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates (you can also check in with your favorite snowmobile clubs for more in-depth details).
