Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, February 17, 2026

Spring is approaching, and based on the latest temperature models issued by the National Weather Service, it certainly looks like some very, very mild weather is in store starting once we get into the middle-end of next week.

Keep in mind that this time of year is when the trail conditions can start to become unpredictable and can change on a day to day basis and if the forecast models pan out into a warmer pattern, snowmobilers should be aware that the trail conditions will start to deteriorate quickly.

Still, there has been enough cold weather this week and officials are hopeful for steady conditions for this weekend.

Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Conditions have improved to good as of Friday.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Groomers have been out this week.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Groomers were active this week; upper trails have been good.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Conditions remain good and groomers were out this week.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Groomers have been out towards Maples and Great Bend.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Expect hard trails.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Groomers were out this past week.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good conditions remain as of Friday, February 27.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails have been groomed this past week.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Riding is expected to be good for the upcoming weekend.

Trackside Blazers: Groomers went out Thursday night.

Turin Ridge Riders: Groomers have been out consistently.

Valley Snow Travelers: Groomers have been working this past week.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
