Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, February 2, 2024

Published on February 02, 2024

Southern Tug Hill Sno Riders Trails February 2024

Although several trail systems remain closed as of this update, it seems there has been a slight uptick in positivity regarding certain trail reports.

With that being said, conditions have been far from pristine and the weekly outlook from the National Weather Service still shows no blockbuster snow on the way.

It seems like there has been sled traffic up around the Highmarket area and other parts of Tug Hill.

Here are the latest reports we have gathered:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Snow is mealy/slushy on most of the trails, with some smooth conditions. Groomers will not head out Friday evening.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails remain CLOSED.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: No active grooming until weather conditions allow.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails remain CLOSED.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails are now CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: No recent updates since January 21.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails remain CLOSED.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Marginal to fair conditions reported as of Friday. Neighboring trail systems remain closed.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails remain CLOSED.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Poor to good conditions towards Highmarket; crews attempted to groom Thursday night with unsuccessful results.

Trackside Blazers: Trails remain CLOSED.

Turin Ridge Riders: Seasonal roads remain open, but lower trails east of State Route 26 and West Road are CLOSED.

Valley Snow Travelers: Varying conditions out to Tabolts Corners, Flat Rock Inn and Montague.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
