Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Friday, January 17, 2025
Snowmobiling 2025 marches on across upstate New York and the North Country.
Grooming fleets have remained busy throughout the Central New York, Tug Hill and Western Adirondack regions.
It looks like another good weekend for riding on the horizon and the temperature outlooks for next-week are still trending bitterly cold.
Traffic is expected to be heavy and snowmobilers are strongly reminded to utilize extra caution while on the trails.
Here are some of the latest reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Trails remain in good shape overall and grooming fleets have been busy.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: All trails are open, groomed and in good shape as of January 15.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails from Belfort and north are in good shape; caution recommended on lower trails.
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are open and grooming fleets have remained busy.
Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Fields are thin and there is water reported towards Felts Mills.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: Grooming fleets have remained active and conditions are great.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Grooming fleets have been out and conditions remain steady.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good conditions have been reported all week.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Grooming fleets have been busy on the southern edge of the system.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Trails are open, groomed and conditions have been great.
Trackside Blazers: Groomers went out Thursday from Alder Creek to Bear Creek Lodge and Otter Lake. RR tracks on C7 is CLOSED.
Turin Ridge Riders: All trails are now open; conditions remain good and grooming fleets have been active.
Valley Snow Travelers: Trails to Tabolts Corners, Flat Rock and Montague are groomed and in excellent shape.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
