Barnes Corners SnoPals Groomer Trails February 2025

Snowmobiling 2025 marches on across upstate New York and the North Country.

An exceptional season continues as the middle part of February nears. The reports keep pouring in – the trails are just simply phenomenal – “some of the best conditions in years,” one local club official said.

From Tug Hill to the Western Adirondacks and beyond, there is great snow coverage and the groomers have been busy on a weekly basis since early January.

With that said, the general Central New York and North Country regions received sleet and freezing rain on Thursday (keep an eye out for potential downed tree limbs and other debris), as the latest NWS forecasts hint towards a potential storm over the weekend and more lake effect snow.

The devil is in the details, and we will keep an eye on how things are shaping up. If you are out riding the trails, expect things to freeze back up Thursday night and Friday ahead of a major cold outbreak next week.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Groomers went out Wednesday night.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Watch for soft spots; cold temps and snow expected this weekend.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails remain in good shape.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Groomers are expected to be out.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Watch for soft spots.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Trails remain in good shape.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails remain in good shape.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Good conditions remain throughout.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Groomers have been out over the last few days.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Conditions range from good to excellent.

Trackside Blazers: Expect softer conditions before colder weather this weekend.

Turin Ridge Riders: Trails remain open.

Valley Snow Travelers: Main corridor trails groomed Wednesday night.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
