Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Published on February 13, 2024

Turin Ridge Riders February 2024

The snow drought continues. Our latest hopes at potentially reviving any chance at a significant snowpack for the second half of winter just flew south – literally – a coastal storm that impacted parts of New Jersey and the metropolitan region for New York City.

With that said, the forecast this week certainly looks seasonal in terms of temperatures and it appears the general North Country region may receive spurts of snow as the weekend approaches.

But for now, riding remains very limited. Several trail systems remain closed and numerous snowmobile clubs have been unable to groom over the last few weeks.

Here are the latest reports from out on the trails:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates.

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: As of Friday, there was still snow coverage on the seasonal roads. Expect spring like conditions.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails remain CLOSED.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: No active grooming or riding to report.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails remain CLOSED.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails remain CLOSED.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: No updates since February 3.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails remain CLOSED.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Trails are temporarily CLOSED for safety.

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails remain CLOSED.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: No updates since February 8.

Trackside Blazers: Trails remain CLOSED.

Turin Ridge Riders: As of February 10, riding is not recommended on the seasonal roads. Lower trails remain CLOSED.

Valley Snow Travelers: No new reports since February 8.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
