Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, December 24, 2025

Another riding season is underway in Northern New York and though things got off to a very strong start, Mother Nature has gone off the rails with some rather unstable conditions lately.
For now, expect trail conditions to vary, as some parts of the North Country have more snow than others.
Here are some of the latest reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:
NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates (you can also check in with your favorite snowmobile clubs for more in-depth details).
Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Good conditions between Barnes Corners and Montague.
Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Lower trails remain CLOSED. Expect varying conditions elsewhere.
Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are CLOSED (as of December 19).
Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails are open, with early season conditions.
Osceola Snowmobile Association: The northern trails are holding up well.
Ohio Ridge Riders: Trails were re-opened as of Monday.
Old Forge/Town of Webb: Fair to good conditions as of Monday.
Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails are CLOSED.
Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Conditions are gradually improving; groomers will be out as necessary.
Trackside Blazers: Trails have remained in good shape; some thin areas reported.
Turin Ridge Riders: Seasonal Roads are open; some lower trails are CLOSED.
Valley Snow Travelers: Lower trails CLOSED; groomers have been working on Tug Hill.
NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
