Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Published on January 21, 2026

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club Groomer Trail January 2026

The second-half of January (so far) is about as old-fashioned of a winter as one can get, at-least when it comes to the cold.

The snow guns have fired up this week across the Tug Hill Plateau (the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Tug Hill region through this Friday).

Some very impressive snow measurements have been accounted for west and north of Lowville, NY.

Elsewhere, there are some trail systems in need of another dumping of fresh snowfall.

Here are some of the latest trail reports we’ve gathered from around the local area:

NOTE: Conditions are likely and do tend to change on a moment’s notice. Be sure to keep checking our website for any updates (you can also check in with your favorite snowmobile clubs for more in-depth details).

Barnes Corners Sno-Pals: Groomers will continue working amidst lots of fresh snowfall.

Brantingham Snowmobile Club: Trails remain open and groomers have been active.

Long Pond Sno Sled Club: Trails are open, with very good conditions reported.

Lost Trail Snowmobile Club: Trails remain busy, with a heavy ice base.

Missing Link Snowmobile Club: Trails around Copenhagen have been thin.

Osceola Snowmobile Association: Icy spots and sugary snow reported.

Ohio Ridge Riders: Groomers have been busy cleaning up the trails.

Old Forge/Town of Webb: Conditions are ranging from good to great!

Penn Mountain Snow Riders: Trails towards Hinckley and Westernville were groomed Tuesday.

Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders: Trails range from good to excellent.

Trackside Blazers: New snowfall is needed, but groomers have been out.

Turin Ridge Riders: All trails are open.

Valley Snow Travelers: Lots of new snow; groomers will go out when they can.

NOTICE: Local law enforcement and snowmobile club officials are warning all riders to obey any and all rules and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: respecting closed trails and staying off from private property. Police warn to never snowmobile while intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
