Moose Snowmobile Trail Reports for Wednesday, January 8, 2025
Snowmobiling 2025 is underway across upstate New York and the North Country.
For once, temperatures have remained very seasonal since the New Year and are expected to remain for the next several days ahead, meaning that trail conditions should continue being very favorable (overall) as winter marches on.
Since the latest and monstrous batch of lake effect snow last weekend, several clubs have had time to send their grooming fleets out and work the trails.
As of this publication, the heaviest concentrated snowfall is from the southern portion of Tug Hill and south into Oneida County. There are certain trail systems reporting lesser snow coverage the further you head north from Boonville, NY.
As we look towards another weekend on the horizon, snowmobilers should expect riding to remain steady.
Here are some of the latest reports gathered from around the North Country:

Watch your speeds and remember to look out for and give right-of-way to groomers on the trails.
