The national average gas price Wednesday morning was $3.09, nearly 35-cents cheaper than this time last-year, according to the AAA.
At the same time, New York’s state average price is $3.26 for this report, down from $3.52 last January.
In Lowville, NY, pump prices are ranging as low as $3.25 and $3.39 in Boonville and Old Forge, NY, according to GasBuddy.
If you travel north to Watertown, prices range as low as $2.77 and $2.99 in Syracuse, NY, according to GasBuddy.
Finally, prices in the Mohawk Valley region range as low as $3.29 in Rome, NY and $3.01 in Utica, NY, according to GasBuddy.
According to AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross, the national average price is expected to maintain a slow shuffle higher for the next few weeks.
