It is reported that the Sheriff’s Office received a law enforcement referral from the New York State Child Abuse Registry on Tuesday. A further investigation revealed that Hernandez was back in Lewis County, despite being reportedly deported last-year.

In addition, police said that Hernandez had an active bench warrant from Lewis County Court for multiple counts of child pornography and endangering the welfare of a child.

Currently, Hernandez is also the subject of an ongoing investigation, where a pair of 13-year-old teenagers were apparently sexually abused.

Members of the New York State Police and U.S. Border Patrol assisted with the investigation.

As of press time, the Sheriff’s Office said that Hernandez was taken to the county jail, without bail, where he will await an arraignment in Lewis County Court.

Furthermore, investigators say the U.S. Border Patrol has lodged a detainer with the Sheriff’s Office, meaning that Hernandez will be deported once his time is served.
