LOWVILLE- No actual fire was reported following a smoke scare Tuesday at Credo and Mountain View Prevention.
It was shortly after 3:15 p.m. when employees there called 9-1-1 after observing smoke coming from the boiler room area.
Fire Chief Joe Austin says a burnt pump motor in the water system is to blame. It malfunctioned and reportedly caused the smoke.
No actual fire was confirmed.
Firefighters worked for about 40-minutes by ventilating the building before employees could return to work.
No injuries were reported and there were no additional details available at press time.
