Non-life threatening injuries reported after pick-up truck backed out in-front of oncoming motorcycle in Oneida County

MARCY- Police investigated a collision this week after a pick-up truck backed out in-front of an oncoming motor cycle in Oneida County.

As reported by the Sheriff’s Office, it happened shortly after 12:00 noon on Wednesday on the Fox Road, town of Marcy.

Investigators say that Rebecca Hayes, 39, of Marcy, NY was backing her GMC pick-up truck out of the driveway, but did so in-front of a southbound Harley Davidson Motorcycle, which was operated by Mark Polmatier, 67, of Holland Patent, NY.

A collision occurred, but Mark and his passenger, Candice Polmatier, 68, also of Holland Patent, NY suffered only from what authorities said were non-life threatening injuries.

At press time, deputies said that Hayes was cited for unsafe backing.

New York State Police, Maynard Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance all assisted.
