North Country man accused of taking payments for building sheds that were not agreed upon with customer: Sheriff's Office

PINCKNEY AND WEST TURIN- A fraud complaint has resulted in felony accusations lodged against a North Country man, authorities say.

Ryan P. Clement, 36, of Carthage, NY is officially charged with felony grand larceny in the third-degree and felony scheme to defraud in the first-degree, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies allege that Clement received payment to build a shed for a customer in the town of Pinckney, however; failed to erect what was agreed upon and kept the payment.

Investigation also revealed that Clement apparently did the same exact thing to another customer – this time in the town of West Turin.

Following arraignment in Lewis County Court, Clement was remanded to the Oswego County Jail.
