CARTHAGE- A North Country man is faced with a pair of felony offenses and other charges stemming from complaints of a domestic incident this week in Jefferson County, authorities say.
Michael D. Williams, 30, of Carthage, NY was arrested early Wednesday by the New York State Police (Carthage). He is officially charged with two felony counts of menacing a police officer, along with one misdemeanor count each of obstructing governmental administration in the second-degree; endangering the welfare of a child and criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree.
According to Troopers, these charges all stem from an alleged domestic dispute in Carthage, NY sometime before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
At press time, Williams’ arrest status was listed as held. State Police said an investigation is still pending.
