North Country resident charged for illegally possessing a VIN: NYSP

WILNA- A possession of stolen property case in the North Country has resulted in the arrest of a local resident, authorities say.

Harley R. Sanders, 26, of Carthage, NY was arrested Monday evening by the New York State Police (Lowville). Sanders’ is formally charged with one felony count of illegally possessing a VIN (vehicle identification number; removed from vehicle).

Troopers say the arrest stems from complaints filed in the town of Wilna.

At press time, police said an investigation was still pending.

Sanders’ was issued with an appearance ticket and there were no further details provided.
