North Country resident charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in Lewis County, police say

DENMARK- A local resident is accused of unlicensed operation in Lewis County, authorities say.

Alonso Palafox, 26, of Castorland, NY was arrested Wednesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Carthage). Palafox is officially charged with one misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, the charge was filed the same day in the town of Denmark.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending. Palafox was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
