FORESTPORT- Drone footage provides a stunning glimpse of how large Sunday’s wildfire was near Forestport, NY.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. over in the O’Brien Road area and according to the New York State DEC, this blaze grew to just over 4.5-acres by the next evening. “While fully controlled, the fire is not yet completely contained,” the DEC said in their weekly State Forest Ranger Highlights published Wednesday.

“State Fire provided a thermal equipped drone to assist in heat detection along the fire perimeter.”
