JEFFERSON, LEWIS & OSWEGO COUNTIES: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 1 P.M. EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations 3 to 6-inches.

* WHERE...Northern Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. The greatest accumulations will be on the southern slopes of the Tug Hill plateau.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 1 P.M. EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Snow covered roadways will result in slick travel, possibly difficult at times. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The majority of the snowfall will occur from about midnight tonight to daybreak Tuesday. The snow will taper off and become more showery in nature Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving. Submit snow reports through our website or social media.

 

ONEIDA COUNTY: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 1 P.M. EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6-inches.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 P.M. this evening to 1 P.M. EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The majority of the snowfall will occur early Tuesday morning from around midnight through about 7AM. Snow will taper off in the late morning through the early afternoon.

OLD FORGE & WESTERN ADIRONDACKS: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 P.M. THIS EVENING TO 1 P.M. EST TUESDAY.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5-inches with greatest accumulations likely at the highest elevations of Herkimer County.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer and Southern Herkimer Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 1 P.M. EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and possibly hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions with potentially difficult travel especially Tuesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Steady snow will begin this evening and last through early Tuesday morning before tapering off to snow showers through late Tuesday morning. Most of the snow will fall between midnight and 7 AM so prepare for slippery, potentially difficult travel early Tuesday morning.
