NYSP: Herkimer County resident faced with fraud related accusations

COLD BROOK- A Herkimer County resident is faced with fraud related accusations.

According to the New York State Police (Herkimer), Alexandra Marie Hayes, 33, of Poland, NY was arrested and charged on Friday morning with one felony count of identity theft in the second-degree (assuming someone’s identity and obtaining goods exceeding $500) and one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

Troopers said these charges stem from a fraud complaint last month in the village of Cold Brook, NY.

At press time, police said that Hayes was released and there were no further details provided.
