On April 5, 2025, Investigator Ryan Waite of the New York State Police, SP Lowville, was honored by the Victims Assistance Center’s Child Advocacy Center of Northern New York at its 7th Annual Night of Heroes Masquerade Ball, held in Alexandria Bay.
Investigator Waite received the prestigious 2025 Hero of the Year Award for his outstanding work and unwavering dedication to child abuse investigations. During the award presentation, he was praised as a highly accomplished and compassionate investigator who is deeply respected by his peers. The Center highlighted his reliability, empathy, and steadfast commitment to seeking justice for vulnerable victims.
Investigator Waite began his career with the New York State Police in 2008 and was promoted to Investigator in 2018. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a tireless devotion to protecting children and supporting families in crisis.
The New York State Police proudly congratulates Investigator Waite on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued service to the people of New York.
