NYSP: Onondaga County resident faced with felony sex offense charge in West Turin

WEST TURIN- A state resident is faced with a felony sex offense accusation in Lewis County, authorities say.

Brian D. Vermette, 35, of Baldwinsville, NY was arrested Wednesday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Vermette is formally charged with one felony count of sex abuse in the first-degree (contact w/individual < 11).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a complaint filed in the town of West Turin last August.

At press time, authorities said an investigation was pending.

Vermette was released on his own recognizance and there were no further details provided.
