NYSP: Trespass complaint in Floyd results in charge filed against Rome area resident

FLOYD- Authorities say a local resident from Oneida County is faced with an accusation in the wake of a trespass complaint last Friday.

On Sunday afternoon, the New York State Police (Remsen) arrested Russell M. LaPlante, 45, of Rome, NY for one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass in the second-degree (entering and/or remaining unlawfully in a dwelling).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a town of Floyd trespass complaint, which was filed on Friday afternoon.

At press time, police said an investigation was pending.

There were no further details provided.
