
LEWIS COUNTY- The American Red Cross is assisting five people in the wake of a fire over the weekend.
According to officials, emergency responders were called out on Sunday afternoon to a structure fire at 14051-53 South Bonaparte Road, near Harrisville, NY.
Harrisville Fire Department was the primary responder, with Deferiet, Gouverneur and Natural Bridge Fire Departments providing mutual aid.
The Red Cross has been providing immediate needs, including shelter, food and clothing, to three adults and two children, ages 2 to 5.
No injuries were reported. As of this publication, we are still waiting on official details from the office of Emergency Management.
