OCSO: Rome suspects accused of criminally possessing stolen property

ONEIDA COUNTY- A burglary complaint led to police arresting and charging two area suspects.

Last Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office began investigating a burglary complaint at Route 233 Storage Units, town of Westmoreland. It turns out that three units had been busted into and property stolen from within.

Over the course of the investigation, police managed to trace some of the property to be in possession of Anthony Barber, 51, and Davin Hines, 33, both of Rome, NY.

As a result, both suspects were formally charged with misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing stolen property.

Following processing, Barber and Hines were released on appearance tickets, which are returnable to Rome City Court at a later date.

For now, the investigation remains ongoing and further charges are pending.
