Number Four Road culvert replacement project August 2026

LEWIS COUNTY- On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Lewis County Highway Department Superintendent, John Reed, joined North Country News and discussed the Number Four Road culvert replacement project.

In a nutshell, a portion of the roadway was about to completely collapse after crews discovered a sink hole a few weeks ago.

The new piping has now arrived and crews are actively working to complete the project. The roadway will remain closed down, until further notice.

Local government officials will be releasing updates as they become available.
