
ROME- The City Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in the wake of a reported robbery over the weekend.
It happened on Sunday at 122 Second Street. According to police, a male victim went to that address to meet a woman.
Upon entering, the victim said he was confronted by a man and a woman, who allegedly threatened him with what appeared to be a handgun.
Rome Police said there was a physical altercation, where items ended up being stolen from the victim.
As a result of police investigation, Sean M. Gorsline and Marion M. Thayer were both arrested on robbery and assault charges.
After processing, both Gorsline and Thayer were taken to the county jail to await arraignment proceedings.
