Oneida County Sheriff's Office investigating camper trailer accident near Woodgate

FORESTPORT-The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a camper trailer accident that occurred over the holiday weekend in the town of Forestport.

Though we are still waiting on further details from Sheriff’s Investigators, the Woodgate Fire Department says the incident happened on Sunday along State Route 28, near the intersection of Round Lake Road.

Firefighters said a truck that was towing a camper trailer had gone off the roadway. The trailer ultimately detached from the truck and rolled-over into a ditch.

Emergency officials said the traffic back-up was a nightmare while the scene was cleaned up, but firefighters managed to divert traffic, thanks to assistance from Forestport and Otter Lake Fire Departments.
