ROME- A woman is accused of leaving her children unsupervised in the middle of the night while visiting a neighbor.

Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a welfare check shortly after 3:30 a.m. Thursday on Turin Road.

Per investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies subsequently arrested Delilah M. Snyder, 29, on four misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Police determined that Snyder had gone to visit a neighbor, leaving her four children home alone.

Their ages ranged from 4 to 10.

It is reported that while Snyder was gone, one of her children vacated the residence before locating a Sheriff’s Deputy, who was parked nearby; informing them that her mother had left them alone.

All four children were turned over to an adult relative.

Meanwhile, Snyder was transferred to the county jail for arraignment, police said at press time.
