Person suffering from seizure on Hinckley Reservoir stabilized thanks to Forest Rangers, emergency responders

RUSSIA- Local responders helped to stabilize a person, who was suffering from a seizure last Thursday in Herkimer County, authorities say.

It was shortly before 2:00 p.m. on July 4 when Forest Rangers Murphy and Stone responded to a call for someone suffering from a seizure on Hinckley Reservoir, town of Russia.

The incident occurred on Beer Can Beach. Rangers cleared some fallen trees and limbs along the trail so volunteer fire departments could drive emergency UTVs to the beach.

Rescuers stabilized the subject and transported her by boat across the reservoir to the boat launch where a Kuyahoora Ambulance was waiting.

There were no further details provided.
