Poland resident arrested in Herkimer County for alleged reckless driving, fleeing police and unlicensed operation

HERKIMER- A reckless driving incident in Herkimer County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

At just before midnight on Sunday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) arrested and charged Cody J. Kinsella, 23, of Poland, NY with one felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the first-degree, along with one misdemeanor count each of reckless driving, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third-degree and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs (first offense).

According to Troopers, these charges all stem from a reckless driving complaint in the village of Herkimer a short while before the arrest occurred.

At press time, police said that Kinsella was issued with an appearance ticket.
