TICONDEROGA- There has been a tragic development following one of the latest Amber Alerts from over the weekend.

On Sunday, it is likely that many of our listeners and local residents were aware that there was an Amber Alert for Melina Galanis Frattolin, 9.
When the initial reports came out, police said that she was possibly abducted on I-87, near Lake George. However, inconsistencies developed from the father’s account of what happened, police clarified.
Regardless, she was tragically found deceased about an hour north of where she was last seen.
More details are expected to come forth today. Though this story is not tied directly to our North Country region, local law enforcement officials are expressing the importance of saying something if you see something.
“We tend to hear, ‘I didn’t want to waste your time with this in case it was nothing,’” said the Town of Webb Police Department in a statement to social media.
“In a situation such as this, a lifetime of regret for not reporting something that you may have seen, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, will be far worse than the slight embarrassment you may feel in the event your information didn’t turn out to be credible.”
