Property check results in burglary charges against local resident, Troopers say

CLIFTON- A property check in the North Country has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

Brian A. Deamer, 42, of Harrisville, NY was arrested and charged early Thursday by the New York State Police (Gouverneur) with one felony count of burglary in the third-degree, along with one misdemeanor count each of possessing burglar tools and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

Troopers say these charges stem from a property check early Thursday in the town of Clifton, St. Lawrence County.

At press time, authorities said that Deamer was released and there were no further details provided.
