State Police investigating death in Trenton
ONEIDA COUNTY- Authorities say the circumstances around the discovery of a deceased person last week in the town of Trenton remain under investigation.
It was shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17 when State Police responded to an address on the Jones Road for a complaint of shots fired.
Upon arrival, Troopers located Michael A. Prokopienko, age 31, of Holland Patent, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. At this time, State Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.
