WEBB- A woman from the Mohawk Valley is accused of intoxicated driving in the wake of a motor vehicle accident earlier this month in the Western Adirondacks, authorities say.

Emergency responders were dispatched during the early evening on January 12 to reports of a property damage accident involving a utility pole in the town of Webb.

According to Chief of Town of Webb Police Ron Johnston, the driver in this wreck has been officially identified as Shannon E. Emery, 20, of Clinton, NY.

Officers reportedly noted the odor of consumed alcoholic beverages and due to circumstances involving the accident, field sobriety tests were administered on scene.

Emery was subsequently taken into custody, processed and charged with DWI and DWI (BAC > .08%).

She was released with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Webb Town Court at a later date.

There were no further details provided.
