REPORT: Lewis County man pleads guilty to raping minor

LOWVILLE- A Lewis County resident has pleaded guilty for raping a minor.

Matthew D. Lyndaker, 49, of Croghan, NY has pled guilty to a felony count of rape in the second-degree.

According to the office of Lewis County District Attorney Jeffery G. Tompkins, Lyndaker admitted during a plea allocution to having sex with a female victim numerous times, while she was under the age of 15.

Additionally, Lyndaker reportedly acknowledged that his sexual contact with the victim began when she was less than 10-years-old. D.A.

Tompkins says the victim was consulted before the plea and was satisfied with the result.

Lyndaker will appear in late March for sentencing, where he is expected to spend 3-years in state prison before having to register as a sex offender.

Additionally, Lyndaker will be under parole supervision for at-least five-years.
