UPDATE: Victim in Rome hit-and-run succumbs to injuries at SUNY Upstate

ROME- A tragic development has surfaced concerning a vehicle and pedestrian hit-and-run earlier this month.

According to Rome City Police Investigators, the victim, Zulay Longo, 39, of Rome, NY passed away from injuries on Wednesday while hospitalized at SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

The incident occurred shortly before noon on Tuesday, February 3 in the 400 block of West Court Street.

Police say Longo was struck by a dark colored Ford SUV.
