LOWVILLE- Got mail? Mail delivery woes have seemed to re-surface for folks around the Lowville, NY area.

A recent report from WWNY-TV explains the latest accounts from a few frustrated folks over inconsistent mail delivery.

Mayor Dan Salmon clarified with reporters that the U.S. Postal Service still operates with only one mail carrier for the entire village.

It is reported that various residents have had to pick up their mail, rather than collecting it from their home mailbox.

This was a previous problem for the village and its residents back in 2023. Mayor Salmon confirmed with us that he plans to speak with head officials from the U.S. Postal Service.

Though an official explanation from the U.S. Postal Service has yet to surface as of this publication, it appears word has gotten around that sheds light on some of the possible causes, including staff shortages.

The Mayor said he hopes to have a productive meeting with the U.S. Postal Service.
