ONEIDA COUNTY- A local mother is suing the Holland Patent Central School District after her child was one of several others who were injured in what ended up being a fatal accident between two school busses last March.
As previously reported, it happened on March 7 on Rickmeyer Road in the town of Floyd. According to some of the latest updates from WKTV, this lawsuit in question, filed on behalf of Jessica Wilkie, claims the negligence of the district, own and county all helped lead to the accident, which occurred in what authorities described as whiteout conditions.
As a result, one of the bus drivers was killed, while the other driver and several children were injured.
The lawsuit reportedly seeks unspecified damages.
