Rome PD investigating fatal collision between SUV and motorcycle

ROME- A fatal collision between an SUV and a motorcycle this week is under investigation.

It happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Black River Boulevard and East Pine Street.

Upon arrival, officers from Rome City Police discovered that the motorcycle operator, identified as Logan A. Kerber, had sustained what was described as serious injuries.

Kerber was transported to Rome Health, where he was later pronounced deceased.

At press time, police said the circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.
