ROME- A teenage suspect is faced with a felony charge and various other misdemeanor offenses following reports of a domestic incident this week.

Members from the Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Pinecrest Drive shortly after 6:00 Thursday.

Investigation revealed that a 16-year-old youth threatened harm to a household member with a broken pipe, while also throwing a rock that struck the victim in the head. This all occurred while an order of protection was in effect, police said.

The victim declared that they were not injured from the incident.

A name for the male suspect will not be released due to age and/or youthful offender status. The teenager was charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree; along with various other misdemeanor counts of criminally possessing a weapon in the fourth-degree, menacing in the second-degree and attempted assault in the third-degree.

The teenage suspect was processed and issued with appearance tickets.
