The clocks have turned back, which means we are back on Standard Time in New York State.
We won’t turn the clocks ahead until the second Sunday of March, which will trigger Daylight Saving Time.
As we near another winter season, State Senator Joe Griffo has a measure that would establish Daylight Saving Time year-round for the state and New York City.
In fact, the Senator is discussing with fellow legislators, who have similar bills, with an ultimate goal of combining them together, according to his office.

Daylight saving time was first enacted in the U.S. back in 1918 to help save energy costs during the First World War.
