ALBANY, NY- A settlement announced on Friday, where the U.S. Justice Department officially concluded that former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed over a dozen victims, confirmed the numerous allegations from a probe that ultimately led to his resignation.

This development is according to the latest from the Associated Press.

Included with the settlement, the state has been tasked with organizing a new process for people to file complaints against senior officials to a third-party law firm. The state will also have to form additional training on how to properly report such harassment or discrimination.

Furthermore, the Governor’s Office will anchor a program to oversee any potential retaliation against those who file complaints.

Despite a condemning report organized by New York Attorney General Letitia James in 2021, Cuomo has continued to deny the allegations that were filed against him.

“The DOJ ‘investigation’ was based entirely on the NYS Attorney General’s deeply flawed, inaccurate, biased, and misleading report. At no point did DOJ even contact Governor Cuomo concerning these matters,” Cuomo’s attorney Rita Glavin told reporters.

Cuomo resigned in August, 2021.
