LOWVILLE- A North Country area level one sex offender is accused of violating New York’s Sex Offender registry.
On June 10, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from New York State Parole pertaining to Denver J. Larkins, 25, of Lowville, NY.

Two-days prior, police say that Larkins falsified his address change while at the Sheriff’s Office, according to investigators. It’s reported that Larkins did this to stay within the 10-day registration period.
During processing, police charged Larkins with one felony count each of violating the sex offender registry (second offense) and falsifying business records in the first-degree.
Following an arraignment, Larkins was jailed, without bail, due to being a three time convicted felon. Currently, Larkins is being held on a parole violation.
At press time, police said that further charges are pending an investigation.
