Southern Lewis County resident accused of DWAI by drugs, Troopers say

LEWIS- A local resident in Southern Lewis County is accused of DWAI and unlicensed operation.

On Thursday evening, the New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged Russell John Rocker, 54, of Port Leyden, NY with one count each of operating a motor vehicle (while impaired by drugs – first offense) and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third-degree.

Troopers say the arrest was made in the town of Lewis.

At press time, police said that Rocker was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
