State Police charge local resident with criminal contempt following alleged domestic in Lowville

LOWVILLE- A local resident from the North Country is accused of disobeying a court order in Lewis County, authorities are reporting.

Jesse Z. Jones, 19, of Copenhagen, NY was arrested shortly after midnight on Tuesday by the New York State Police (Lowville). Jones is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

According to Troopers, the arrest stems from a reported domestic dispute late Monday night in the town of Lowville.

At press time, police said that Jones’ arrest status was listed as bail/bond.

There were no further details provided.
